Customer Journey Map

A visualization of every step a customer goes through with your product — from first hearing about you to becoming a fan.

Definition

A customer journey map is a visualization of every interaction a customer has with your product, brand, or company — from their first awareness through purchase, onboarding, ongoing use, and ideally advocacy. Good journey maps capture not just what the customer does at each step but also what they think and feel, where the friction is, and where the moments of delight live. They're used to identify high-leverage opportunities to improve experience, increase conversion, or reduce churn. The map is most useful when it's built from real research, not assumptions. AI agents can help you assemble journey maps from interview notes, support tickets, and analytics — and turn them into prioritized action plans.
