What it is
This skill reads a book or a folder of documents and extracts its frameworks, principles, techniques, and pitfalls into a structured skill your AI assistant can use again and again. Instead of a book summary, you get chapter notes, a glossary, a patterns file, and a cheat sheet the assistant draws on when you ask for help. It suits anyone who wants to work with a favorite business or productivity book's ideas close at hand.
What it does
- Reads PDF, EPUB, Word, HTML, Markdown, plain text, and other document formats
- Extracts named frameworks, mental models, principles, and anti-patterns in the author's own terms
- Creates chapter-by-chapter notes plus a glossary, patterns guide, and cheat sheet
- Offers an analyze-only mode so you can review findings before anything is generated
- Updates an existing book skill when you add new chapters or sources
Use it when
- You want your AI assistant to apply a book's frameworks while you work
- You're building a reusable knowledge base from a stack of documents or reports
- You need quick lookups of key concepts from a long book without rereading it
Add this skill to your AI
