How to use ADHD-Friendly Answers in your AI agent

Install and use the ADHD-Friendly Answers skill in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, and Windsurf — with sample prompts.

What you'll get

This skill changes how your AI assistant writes its answers so they are easy to act on, especially if you have ADHD or just get lost in long replies. Every answer starts with what to do next, breaks work into short numbered steps, gives concrete time estimates, and drops greetings, recaps, and side tangents. Once switched on, it stays on for the whole conversation until you say "stop adhd mode".

Step 1 — Get the skill source URL

The ADHD-Friendly Answers skill lives at:

Step 2 — Add it to your AI agent

Copy one of these prompts and paste it into your AI tool. The agent will fetch and install the skill for you.

Windsurf

Step 3 — Try these prompts

Once the skill is installed, ask your AI things like:

  • Long AI answers make it hard for you to start on the task
  • You lose track of where you are in a multi-step project
  • You want answers that tell you exactly what to do next
  • You are tired of "Great question!" and "Hope this helps!"

What this skill does

  • Puts the next action in the first line of every answer
  • Breaks multi-step work into short numbered steps
  • Reminds you where you are, such as step 3 of 5, at every turn
  • Gives specific time estimates instead of vague ones
  • Cuts preambles, recaps, and side topics, and keeps lists to five items
