Definition
Product-market fit is the moment your product clearly satisfies a strong demand from a specific customer segment. It's the inflection point that separates "we built something" from "we built something people want." The classic test: would your customers be very disappointed if your product disappeared? (Sean Ellis's 40% rule.) Other signals: organic growth, low churn, customers selling to other customers, and you can't keep up with demand. Without PMF, no amount of marketing will save you; with it, even bad marketing works. AI agents can help you measure PMF via surveys, retention analysis, and qualitative research synthesis.
