The Lean Canvas, developed by Ash Maurya and adapted from the Business Model Canvas, is a one-page template for sketching a business or product. It has nine boxes: problem, customer segments, unique value proposition, solution, channels, revenue streams, cost structure, key metrics, and unfair advantage. The whole point is to fit your entire business model on one page so you can see the trade-offs and stress-test assumptions quickly. It's especially useful at the early stage when you want to compare multiple business model variants without writing a long deck. AI agents can help you fill in a Lean Canvas from a rough idea and pressure-test the assumptions.
